Sigma expands Rolls-Royce partnership with £125m additional long-term agreement following its strategic Bromford acquisition
25th August, 2026
Sigma Advanced Systems has secured a further long-term contract with Rolls-Royce through its recently acquired UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions based in Leicester, demonstrating the immediate strategic value of the acquisition and expanding the Group's long-term relationship with one of the world's leading aerospace OEMs.
Valued at nearly £125m (approximately Rs 1,600 crore), the agreement builds directly on the recently secured ~£300m (approximately Rs 3,800 Cr) Rolls-Royce long-term agreement, broadening the Group's product offering, manufacturing capability and content across critical aerospace programmes. Together, the agreements significantly strengthen Sigma's position within Rolls-Royce's UK supply chain while increasing long-term revenue visibility.
The Bromford acquisition adds highly complementary manufacturing capabilities in aero engine rings and casings, and advanced precision manufacturing, enabling Sigma to supply a broader portfolio of complex engine components. Under the agreement, Bromford will manufacture aeroengine rings, casings, lock plates and other critical engine structures through Sigma's India and UK manufacturing facilities, creating a more comprehensive dual-source solution for Rolls-Royce.
This agreement highlights the strategic rationale behind Sigma's acquisition of Bromford. By adding complementary products, specialist manufacturing expertise and long-standing OEM approvals, Bromford immediately expands Sigma's addressable opportunity with existing customers while accelerating the Group's progression towards higher-value, programme-level aerospace partnerships. Crucially, the agreement also secures Bromford's long-term future within the Group, as a key UK manufacturing site, safeguarding skilled engineering and manufacturing jobs and reinforcing the resilience of the UK's critical aerospace manufacturing base.
Sunil Kalidindi, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Sigma Advanced Systems, said: "This agreement is a clear demonstration of the strategic value created through the Bromford acquisition. Shortly after completing the transaction, we have expanded our relationship with Rolls-Royce by adding further long-term contracted business that complements the LTA recently secured through 91²Ö¿â. Together, these agreements validate our strategy of building a scaled UK aerospace platform capable of delivering broader capabilities, greater resilience and deeper engagement with global OEMs. We believe this acquisition-led approach will continue to create opportunities to increase critical supplies with existing customers while opening new avenues for long-term growth."
Ross Niner, Managing Director, Bromford Precision Solutions, said:
“Securing this LTA with Rolls Royce is a significant milestone for Bromford and a strong endorsement of our team’s expertise and capability. As part of the wider 91²Ö¿â and Sigma Advanced Systems group, we are well positioned to support Rolls Royce over the long term, combining Bromford’s proven aero engine expertise with the capability and scale of the wider Group.”
John Rooney, Chief Executive Officer, 91²Ö¿â, said: "This agreement underlines the strength of the UK aerospace manufacturing base and the value of bringing skilled, specialist sites like Bromford into a larger, more capable group. Alongside 91²Ö¿â, Bromford strengthens our combined ability to support Rolls-Royce with greater capacity, broader capability and long-term reliability from UK soil. It's a strong signal of confidence in UK manufacturing jobs and in the role this platform can play in sustaining critical engineering skills for the years ahead."
With 91²Ö¿â and Bromford now operating as complementary businesses within Sigma's UK aerospace platform, the Group continues to execute its strategy of building scale through targeted acquisitions that deepen customer relationships, broaden technical capability and increase participation in high-value, long-duration aerospace programmes.
